Why should I choose Simply Blue to produce my wedding video?
A wedding video brings your cherished memories to life for years to come. Simply Blue is made up of storytellers with decades of experience in photojournalism and covering weddings; we focus on telling your story! We like to go with the flow, blend in, and be as unobtrusive as possible. We stay out of the way so the day unfolds naturally but are there to capture your favorite moments. We are also collaborators. We love working with the wedding planner, photographer, and DJ to make sure all the important moments are covered.

When and how do I book a date for my wedding?
Contact Simply Blue Studios as early as possible to discuss package options. Your wedding date will be secured as soon as we receive your deposit and a signed contract.
Can I customize any of the video packages?
Yes! We will customize packages.
What is included in my video package?
It depends on your package, but a typical one includes a short wedding trailer and wedding film posted online to share on social media plus a thumb drive with your videos. To cover the ceremony we use a minimum of two cameras with one videographer for smaller packages and as many as five cameras with two videographers for larger ones. Your package may include video coverage of the pre-ceremony preparations, a first look, the ceremony itself, the reception, or a farewell from the couple, depending on the number of hours of coverage.

What’s the difference between a wedding trailer and wedding film?
The wedding trailer is a short teaser that is published online within a week after the wedding day. The wedding film tells the entire story of your wedding day. It includes an edited version of the ceremony and other parts of the day. Wedding trailers and films are posted online for up to a year so your family and friends can watch and enjoy the experience. The videos are also included on a thumb drive as a part of all packages.
How long does it take to get the wedding film?
Typically 3-4 months, depending on the time of year. Do you need a faster turnaround? Let us know. We will work with you.
Can we have all the footage?
All raw footage is available for $250, which includes the cost of the USB drive that will hold it.
Music & Aerials
How do you select the music for the videos?
We choose music that is available to license from music various providers ( e.g., Song Freedom, Pond5) that best fits your wedding story. All our video packages include a music license for one song. You can pay to license additional songs; not all songs are available to license.
Can you fly aerials?
Aerials are a beautiful way to show off your wedding location. Chris is FAA-certified for flying small unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones. We love flying, and we’d love to fly for your wedding as long as it’s not too close to the airport!
